Experienced Cabinetmaker / Millworker / Furniture Maker

 

Single Batch Designs is looking for an experienced woodworker to fabricate and install high-end custom furniture, cabinetry, and architectural millwork.

 

Requirements & Responsibilities

 

• A solid foundation in woodworking, with at least 2 years of experience. 

 

• Fabricate and and install furniture, cabinetry, and millwork using traditional and modern methods of joinery.

 

• Safely and proficiently operate jointers, table saws, miter saws, planers, sanders, finishing tools, and other woodworking equipment.

 

• Build hardwood furniture from rough, kiln-dried stock using shop-made jigs, traditional hand tools, and modern power tools.

 

• Read and modify blueprints, create cut lists, and track project progress.

 

• Take inventory, maintain machinery, and keep a clean, organized workspace.

 

• Work independently, solve problems, and take pride in quality craftsmanship.

 

• Must be physically capable of demanding shop and installation work, including consistently lifting and carrying 75 lbs or more.

 

Bonus Skills

Experience with CNC machinery, CAD software, or digital fabrication.

We're looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on a variety of custom projects.

 

 

 

 

 

Shop Apprentice / Entry-Level

 

Single Batch Designs is looking for a motivated, hands-on individual interested in learning furniture making, cabinetry, and custom millwork.

 

We don't expect you to be an expert craftsperson. We expect you to be an expert learner.

 

Requirements & Responsibilities

 

• Experience in woodworking, metalworking, construction, or a related shop environment.

 

• Comfortable working with tools and making things.

 

• Coachable, trainable, proactive, and willing to learn.

 

• Follow directions, pay attention, and take initiative.

 

• Assist with shop production, fabrication, and job site installations.

 

• Help with material handling, sanding, assembly, and general shop tasks.

 

• Keep a tidy workspace. Clean up before and after projects.

 

• Willing to do the small jobs as well as the big ones.

 

• Must be physically capable of demanding shop and installation work, including consistently lifting and carrying 75 lbs or more.

 

Think The Karate Kid. Sometimes you paint the fence. Sometimes you wax the car.
